Scrum training simulator AI teammates

Run a full Scrum project before you run a real one.

Play the Scrum Master, Product Owner or Developer. Five AI teammates with their own personalities debate, estimate and deliver alongside you, from kickoff to release.

8 scenarios · 3 roles · 5 phases, 18 steps

The ceremony workbench mid-debate: named AI teammates talk through the sprint in chat bubbles while the learner, as Scrum Master, prepares a reply.

Pedagogy meets engineering

Why a simulator beats another slide deck

Real facilitation reflexes aren't built by reading. They need pressure, disagreement and consequences.

Role-play, not a quiz

Take any role: Scrum Master, Product Owner or Developer. Five AI teammates hold every other role, with the same name and personality for the whole run.

The full lifecycle

5 phases, 18 steps, from project vision and chartering through release and retrospective, built on the SBOK® Guide (Fifth Edition) process.

Real artifacts, not slides

Every run produces a working sprint backlog, burndown, impediment log, acceptance register and a closing scorecard you can export.

A scorecard, not a certificate

Budget adherence, estimation accuracy, business value delivered and Scrum compliance, computed from your recorded decisions, never from sentiment. Export it as a PDF report to keep or share.

Guided apprenticeship

How it works

Every step follows the same pattern: read the inputs, work through the ceremony with your team, then act at the decision gate.

  1. 01

Pick a project and a role

Choose one of 8 scenarios, then play the Scrum Master, Product Owner or Developer.

  2. 02

Work each step with your team

Read the inputs, join the discussion and make the call at the decision gate.

  3. 03

    Move through 5 phases

18 steps from vision to release. One new step unlocks each day, so you have time to think between sessions.

  4. 04

    Read your scorecard

See how you did and why, then try another role or a harder project.

The 5 phases

  1. 01 6 steps

    Initiate

Agree why the project exists, who is involved and what the first release must deliver.

    Steps 1.1 to 1.6

  2. 02 5 steps

    Plan and Estimate

Turn the top of the backlog into a sprint the team can honestly commit to.

    Steps 2.1 to 2.5

  3. 03 3 steps

    Implement

Keep the sprint on track: run the board, hold the standup and protect the sprint scope.

    Steps 3.1 to 3.3

  4. 04 2 steps

    Review and Retrospect

Show what was built, decide what counts as done and improve how the team works.

    Steps 4.1 to 4.2

  5. 05 2 steps

    Release

Ship the working product and capture what the team learned.

    Steps 5.1 to 5.2

Curated simulations

8 projects, from first sprint to expert

Every scenario runs the same 18-step process. Only the fictional business, the stakes and the pressure on the team change.

Training a team or running a course?

Give every person their own simulation of the same project. Everyone follows the same 18-step process, so you can compare how people approach the same decisions.

Tell us about your group and we will reply by email.

  • Every learner runs a private simulation in their own account.
  • The same scenario and process for everyone in the group.
  • A scorecard at the end of every run, which each learner can export as a PDF report to keep or share.

Questions people ask

What is Scrumagic?

Scrumagic is a browser-based Scrum training simulator. You take one role on a six-person team and run a fictional project from vision to release, while AI teammates play everyone else.

Is this a certification, or exam prep?

Scrumagic is not an official certification and it does not replace one. If you are studying for an exam, it gives you hands-on practice with the situations the questions describe. Beyond the exam, it builds practical knowledge and real experience of running a whole project, and your result is a scorecard, not a certificate.

How long does a run take?

It depends on the scenario and how many sprints it has. One new step unlocks each day, so a run unfolds over days, not in one sitting. Phase 1 has six steps, so it takes at least six days. Each scenario card lists its sprints and budget.

What do I get for free?

Phase 1 of any scenario, in any role, with no credit card. Phase 1 covers vision and charter through release planning. One new step unlocks each day, and Pro adds Phases 2 to 5.

Which roles can I play?

Scrum Master, Product Owner or Developer. Every scenario can be played in all three, and the AI teammates play the other roles.

Who are the AI teammates?

Five named characters, each with a fixed role and personality, who remember your earlier decisions during a run. A large language model, reached through OpenRouter, writes their lines, and the model behind them can change as better ones appear. The process, the decision options and the scoring are fixed rules in our code, so a score never depends on how a model answered that day.

How is my score calculated?

From the decisions you record: budget adherence, estimation accuracy, business value delivered and Scrum compliance. Fixed rules compute it, never how the conversation felt. When a run ends you can export the scorecard as a PDF report.

What happens to my data?

We do not send your name, email address or account ID to the AI provider. What you type into a simulation is sent, so keep personal details out of it. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.

Scrum Guide or SBOK?

The simulation is built on the SBOKĀ® Guide (Fifth Edition) process. The ideas you practise, such as ordering a backlog, a Definition of Done and timeboxed events, apply under the Scrum Guide too.

Can I use it with my team or class?

Yes. Everyone runs the same scenario through the same 18 steps in their own account. Talk to us about team access and tell us about your group.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Monthly plans cancel any time. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of any purchase, for any reason. See the Refund Policy.
