For teams, trainers and courses

A repeatable Scrum exercise for your team or cohort.

Every person runs the same project in their own seat, against the same AI team, through the same step-by-step process. Then you talk about the decisions they made.

18 steps · 5 phases · 8 scenarios

Sound familiar?

  • Workshops and slide decks do not show who can actually facilitate a sprint.
  • A real sprint is too costly a place to practise.
  • Every trainee needs the same exercise, so the results can be compared fairly.

What you get

Practice that fits a group

  • Same scenario, same process, for everyone

Everyone in the group runs the same project through the same phases and steps, so what differs between people is what they decided.

  • Each person makes their own calls at every decision gate

At each gate the learner reads the situation, asks the team questions and chooses, and the choice is recorded.

  • A scorecard for every run

Each run ends with a scorecard that explains how the learner did and why. Each learner can export it as a PDF report to keep or share.

Where teams and trainers use it

  • Onboarding engineers to Scrum.
  • Practice between the modules of a Scrum Master course.
  • A bootcamp project week.
  • A refresher before a team adopts Scrum.

One run, start to finish

What a learner does in one run

Each person takes one of three seats for the whole run and goes through the same five phases, from the first workshop to the release.

  1. 01

    Initiate

Agree why the project exists, who is involved and what the first release must deliver.

The group agrees why the project exists, who is involved and what the first release must deliver.

    Steps in this phase

    1. Steps 1.1 to 1.6 6 steps
  2. 02

    Plan and Estimate

Turn the top of the backlog into a sprint the team can honestly commit to.

The team turns the top of the backlog into a sprint it can honestly commit to, with planning poker and a sprint baseline.

    Steps in this phase

    1. Steps 2.1 to 2.5 5 steps
  3. 03

    Implement

Keep the sprint on track: run the board, hold the standup and protect the sprint scope.

The sprint runs: the board, the daily standup, blockers and a change request that tests the sprint's scope.

    Steps in this phase

    1. Steps 3.1 to 3.3 3 steps
  4. 04

    Review and Retrospect

Show what was built, decide what counts as done and improve how the team works.

The team demonstrates what it built, decides what counts as done and agrees how to improve.

    Steps in this phase

    1. Steps 4.1 to 4.2 2 steps
  5. 05

    Release

Ship the working product and capture what the team learned.

The product ships and the team looks back on what it learned.

    Steps in this phase

    1. Steps 5.1 to 5.2 2 steps

How it works

  1. 01

Each person picks a project and a seat

Choose one of 8 scenarios. The AI plays the other five roles.

  2. 02

    Go through all 18 steps

Read the inputs, join the discussion and make the call at the decision gate. One new step unlocks each day, so there is time to think between sessions.

  3. 03

    Read your scorecard

See how you did and why, export it as a PDF report, then try another seat or a harder project.

Questions people ask

What is Scrumagic?

Scrumagic is a browser-based Scrum training simulator. You take one role on a six-person team and run a fictional project from vision to release, while AI teammates play everyone else.

Can I use it with my team or class?

Yes. Everyone runs the same scenario through the same 18 steps in their own account. Talk to us about team access and tell us about your group.

Is this a certification, or exam prep?

Scrumagic is not an official certification and it does not replace one. If you are studying for an exam, it gives you hands-on practice with the situations the questions describe. Beyond the exam, it builds practical knowledge and real experience of running a whole project, and your result is a scorecard, not a certificate.

What happens to my data?

We do not send your name, email address or account ID to the AI provider. What you type into a simulation is sent, so keep personal details out of it. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.

Which roles can I play?

Scrum Master, Product Owner or Developer. Every scenario can be played in all three, and the AI teammates play the other roles.

How much does team access cost?

Team access is arranged directly. Tell us your group size and what you need, and we will reply by email.
