Project vision and Product Goal: pointing the work somewhere
A vision says why the work exists and where it is heading, in a few sentences that everyone on the team can repeat. The Scrum Guide calls the long-term version the Product Goal. The SBOK builds a Project Vision Statement from the business case at the very start of a project. Both ask for the same thing: focus on the problem, not the solution, and leave room to learn.
